AGNES N.BYERS BELL

Agnes N. Byers Bell, age 97, of Kahoka, MO, died Saturday, June 5, 2004 at the Clark Co. Nursing Home in Kahoka.

She was born January 14, 1907 at Eldon, IA, a daughter of Henry W. and Eva A. Garrett Lynch.

She married Bertram C. Byers on March 14, 1924 who preceded her in death on May 26, 1937. She later married Clinton H. Bell on August 28, 1951. He preceded her in death on December 22, 1982.

Agnes enjoyed spending time with family and her neighbors. She loved being out doors doing yard work and gardening. She was an excellent cook and in earlier years worked at the former Coffee Shop and Snack Shop in Kahoka

Survivors include one son, Jack Byers, of Quincy, IL; one daughter, Mrs. Bill (Betty Byers) Fry of Kahoka, MO; grandchildren: Ron Fry of Des Moines, IA, Diane Fry of Scottsdale, AZ, Mrs. Kraig (Jana) VanHulzen of Oskaloosa, IA, and Mrs. Steve (Jackie) Harrison of Shawnee Mission, KS; three step grandchildren, Linda, Vickie, and Kathy Boyer; five great grandchildren: Mrs. Ryan (Melissa) Fry McDermott of Scottsdale, AZ, Mindy Fry, of Scottsdale, AZ, Kamron and Kourtney VanHulzen, of Oskaloosa, IA, and Mrs. Nathan (Jyl) Ourada of Shawnee Mission, KS; one great-great grandchild, Alexis Ourada of Shawnee Mission, KS; several step great and great-great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Don (Phyllis) Allman of Eldon, IA; as well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; two great grandchildren; four sisters; two brothers; a daughter-in-law, Eva Sue Byers; and a step-daughter, Helen Bell.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 9, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at the Kahoka Cemetery with Rev. Ernest Deatrick officiating. Friends can call after noon on Tuesday at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorials are suggested to the Kahoka Cemetery or the Clark Co. Nursing Home.
