Andrew Ferguson

Andrew W. Ferguson Jr., 90, of Kahoka, MO passed away Friday, April 19, 2024, at Scotland County Hospital Memphis, MO.  Andy was born on August 20, 1933, in Quincy, Il., to Andrew W. and Mae (Wright) Ferguson Sr. He was united in marriage to Lila (Butler) Ferguson on November 12, 1957, in St, Louis, Missouri, and she preceded him in death February 23, 2024. 

Andy attended school at Berry Ann School in Quincy, Il., from there he joined the Navy and proudly served his country.  Andy and Lila were the owners of Andy’s Appliances for over 48 years.  They worked side by side every day along with their son Joe who will continue the business.  Andy loved to watch NASCAR with his favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt.  His favorite foods which he wasn’t supposed to have was, ice cream and cherry pie.  Andy was a self-learner and liked things that would challenge him. Andy was quiet, simple, and minded his own business.  His family was important to him.

 Andy is survived by his 3 sons: Joe (Julia Mayes) Ferguson of Kahoka, MO, Dan Ferguson of Kahoka, MO, Steve (Pam Heger) Ferguson of Peoria, IL, 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 1 brother-in-law: Gilbert (Shirley) Butler, other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son: Andrew Ferguson III, 2 daughters: Joanne Schoonover and Brenda Ferguson, 3 sisters: Audrey, Lenora, Doris and 1 brother: Lewis.

Funeral Services will be held for Andy Ferguson on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 12:00 pm at Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home, Kahoka, MO burial with full Military Rites in Kahoka Cemetery.  Pastor Dan Deatrick will officiate. Visitation will be held at the Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home, Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 11:00 am until time of service at noon.  Memorials in memory of Andy Ferguson are suggested to Kahoka Cemetery.
