Ardis French

ARDIS LAVON FRENCH

Ardis Lavon (nee Post) French of Springfield Township, Cincinnati, Ohio, died on July 13, 2012.

She was born on May 9, 1923, in Guide Rock, Nebraska, to the late James and Marie Giger Post.

Ardis is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Robert French. Together they raised four children: Robert French, Elizabeth Bild, David French, and Douglas French. Ardis is also survived by one grandchild: Kristin Armstrong and two step-grandchildren: Erick and Jeff. She was the dear sister of Eileen Weisman, Gary Post and the late Stanley Post.

Ardis loved to research her family genealogy and was an accomplished artist. She was active in the Cincinnati Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church for fifty-five years.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at 3 p.m. at the Northminster Presbyterian Church in Cincinnati, OH.

Graveside services were held Friday, July 20, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Kahoka Cemetery, Kahoka, MO with Pastor Mike Shea officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Athens Cemetery.

The family was assisted locally by Wilson Funeral Home.
