BERNICE BUSCHLING
Bernice Buschling, age 85, of rural Canton, MO, died Monday, July 3, 2006 at Ourhome in Hamilton, IL.
She was born January 14, 1921 in Clark County, MO, a daughter of Frank and Maggie
Graham Bainter.
She married Fred T. Buschling on September 1, 1938 at Palmyra, MO. He preceded her in death on March 6, 1996.
Survivors include a daughter, Evelyn Hamilton and her husband, Jerry, of Keokuk, IA; three grandchildren, Deborah Hamilton and Brenda Stephenson and her husband, Rick, all of Keokuk, IA, and Melissa Anderson of Montrose, IA; three great-grandchildren: Brandon Van Ausdall, Jenny Anderson, and Tate Anderson; a brother, John Bainter of Rhode Island; two sisters: her twin, Berdena Koker of Leavenworth, KS and Sarah Land of Wayland, MO; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Robert Jeffries of Denver, CO, Marilyn Bainter of Mesa, AZ, Charles Buschling of Kahoka, MO, Elmer and Dorothy Buschling of Canton, MO, and Opal Buschling of New Sharon, IA; as well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers: Joe, Carl and Frank Bainter; and two sisters, Rosalie and Fern.
Bernice graduated from Wayland High School and Quincy School of Cosmetology. She was a member of Bluff Springs United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She had been a farm wife most of her life and later operated a beauty shop from her home. She enjoyed gardening and caring for her home. She received her greatest joy when spending time with her family.
Funeral services are Saturday, July 8, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with Tom Mehaffey officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery south of Kahoka.
Friends can call after 9 a.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Blessing Hospice.
