BETTY ALICE DAVIDSON

Betty Alice Davidson, age 67, of Kahoka, MO, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2006, in Keokuk Area Hospital, Keokuk, Iowa.

She was born April 20, 1939, in Keokuk, IA, a daughter of Harry and Edith Hamilton Pennington.

She married Leon Duane Davidson, Sr. on June 12, 1962 in Houston, TX. He preceded her in death on February 17, 1984.

Survivors include three sons, Leon Davidson, Jr. of Kahoka, MO, Mark Davidson and his wife, Denise, of Buchanan, MI, and, William Davidson of Keokuk, IA; three daughters: Mary Brewer and her husband, Ron, of Kahoka, MO, Melody Atterberg and her husband, Joe, of Kahoka, MO, and Marsha Davidson of Hannibal, MO; seven grandchildren: Zachary and Adam Brewer, Mandy and Andrew Mitchell, Sara Davidson Bibby and her husband, Joe, and Joshua Davidson, all of Kahoka, MO, and, Perry Roos of Buchanan, MI; one brother, Frank Pennington of Mediapolis, IA; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Martha St. Clair of Kahoka, MO, Naomi Gonzales of Oklahoma City, OK, and Eugene Davidson of Warsaw, IL; as well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and several brothers and sisters.

Betty attended Keokuk public schools and was of the Pentecostal faith. She dedicated her early years to raising her children and later was a caregiver for the elderly. She enjoyed playing Bingo, going to Tama and listening to country music. She loved her family dearly and had a special place in her heart for her beloved cat.

A memorial service will be held Friday, December 29, 2006 at 7 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with Pastor Ray Gilbert officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Ashton Cemetery.

Friends can register Friday at Wilson Funeral Home with family receiving friends for one hour prior to services. Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to the family.
