Betty L. Logsdon, 90, of Kahoka, passed away at 3:41am, Friday, November 18, 2022, peacefully at home with her family by her side.
Betty was born on October 30, 1932, in Quincy, Illinois to Harold and Marguerite (Parsons) Barry. The oldest of many siblings, Betty was always surrounded by family to care for. Betty married Thomas Logsdon in 1951, and their children were often raised alongside Betty’s younger siblings as she mothered both her own kids as well as her siblings.
Betty was a straightforward, hard-working woman, who was firm in her Catholic Faith and her devotion to the Blessed Mother Mary. She will be remembered for her gardens and flowers, and as the kindest, most loving person anyone could hope to have bless their life. She will be deeply missed by her grateful and devoted family.
Betty leaves her beloved children; Sheila Dunn (Garry), Judith Ross, Mary Lou Logsdon, Thomas Logsdon Jr., William Logsdon, Laura Stiemel (Chuck), and Jennifer Cline (Walter); brothers, Dean (Jan) Barry of Clark, Missouri, Art (Marilyn) Barry, of Titusville, Florida, Vernon (Carol) Barry, of Davenport , Iowa; sisters, Dorothea (Dean) Hunziker, of Kahoka, Missouri, Barbara (Wesley) Parrish, of Kahoka, Missouri, Connie (Gary) Watson, of Fredericktown, Missouri, and Patricia (Bob) Higgins of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In addition to her husband Thomas, Betty is predeceased by her parents, 4 brothers, 1 sister, and 1 great-grandchild
There will be a visitation for Betty at Shrine of Saint Patrick at 9:30am, Tuesday, November 22, 2022, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00am. Presider Father Rob Fields. Inurnment following at the St. Patrick Cemetery. Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
