Bill Bergman

William "Bill" Bergman, 77, of Kahoka passed away at 11:06 AM on Monday, December 4, 2023, surrounded by his family at Great River Hospital in West Burlington, Iowa. Bill was born on September 22, 1946, to George and Mildred (Brotherton) Bergman. Bill married Doreen (Ash) Bergman on November 26, 1966 in Kahoka and she survives.

Bill was a graduate of Kahoka High School. He was a member of the Kahoka Christian church.  Bill was an electrician for Griffin Wheel and retired in 2003, he appreciated his job, and the friendships he made with his co-workers.  Bill liked watching You Tube, mowing his yard, keeping his vehicles clean,  hunting, fishing, and farming. To relax he enjoyed reading about history, playing with his cat “Piper” and watching the birds in his yard. Bill was a family man and looked forward to family gatherings with his children and grandchildren. 

Bill is survived by 3 sons: Rowdy (Cynthia) Bergman of Kahoka, Rusty (Leslie) Bergman of Kansas, and Randy (Kindra) Bergman of Kahoka. 1 daughter: Robin (Larry) Harper of Kahoka, 11 Grandchildren; Landon (Ali) Rowland, Laken (Chance) Oliver, Macey Bergman, Olivia Bergman, Will Bergman, Francie Bergman, Dylan Harper, Tristan (Joy) Harper, Darian Harper, Jenna (Shaw) Hunziker, and Madison (Nick) Gray. 1 Brother; Dennis (Zarina) Bergman of Kahoka,  Sister-in-laws; Barbie Bergman, Zelda (Rocky) Sturm, Earlene Ash and Jewel Ash, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of  friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother; John Bergman, Brother & Sister-in-laws; Joe and Dorothy Leffler, Hazel Crowe, Junior Ash, Darrell Ash, Wendell Ash, Wilma “Toots” and Jesse Forquer, and Sharon Bergman.

Funeral Services for William "Bill" Bergman will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 8, 2023, at Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home Kahoka. Pastor Dan Deatrick will officiate. Burial will follow at the Kahoka Cemetery Kahoka, MO. Visitation will be held Thursday December 7, 2023, from 5 to 7 p.m at the Funeral Home.
