Billy Joe Hooper (59) of Kahoka, passed away unexpectedly at his home on November 29, 2022.
Bill was born in Keokuk, Iowa, on March 25, 1963, son to Roy and Barbara Mae (Wilsey) Hooper. He was a longtime employee of Clark County Road and Bridge, and he was well known and well-liked by everyone who knew him. Bill was a happy guy, and a big-hearted kid. He was always the first to offer a helping hand and was a true and loyal friend and companion.
He enjoyed watching NASCAR races with his brother Jack, and really liked hunting, and enjoying the company of friends and family. His untimely passing has left a deep impression on the lives he touched, and he will always be remembered.
Bill is survived by his son Dustin (Cassady) Hooper, from Bucklin, Missouri, and his daughter Shelby Hooper (Gaven Jett) of Springfield, Illinois; sons-by-choice, Cole and Ty Birky; grandchildren, Aubree, Brantley, Trinity, Benjamin, Paisley, Beau & Kainaan; brothers Jack (Mary) Hooper of Kahoka, Larry (Diane) Hooper, of Wyaconda, Jimmie Hooper, also of Wyaconda, and step-brother, Marvin Macomb; and his sister, Penny (George) Thompson or Ursa, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, and all but one of his stepsiblings.
A Funeral Service for Bill will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home. Pastor Rick Addison will officiate. Interment will follow at Wyaconda Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12:00pm to 2:00pm, on Saturday, December 3, 2022
