Bobby Duer

Robert “Bobby” Duer Jr., 69, of Kahoka, MO passed away at 6:32 am on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, in Kahoka. Bobby was born on August 28, 1954, in Kirksville, Mo. to Robert L. and Mary Frances (Mills) Duer Sr.  Bobby was a High School graduate of Kahoka High School.

He was a lifelong long resident of Clark Co.  He was the owner of Duer Oil company in Kahoka, Mo. and developed lots of friendships over the years.  He was a huge sports fan of our Clark County Indians, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Oakland Raiders. Bobby and his special friend Melissa enjoyed each other's company and going out to eat. Bobby was his grandchildren’s biggest fan.     

Bobby is survived by 1 son; Shawn (Michele) Duer of Kahoka, Missouri, 1 daughter; Shelby (Brock) Buschling of Kahoka, Missouri, 2 sisters; Judith Griffitt and Margaret (Werner) Lilienthal, 3 grandchildren; Payson Duer, Maddie Johnson, and Kennedy Johnson. A special friend Melissa Sherrill, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother-in-law Jerry Griffitt.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  As per Bobby’s request there will be no visitation and no service. Bobby was a firm believer in memorials for the community.  Memorials contributions in memory of Robert “Bobby” Duer are suggested to Clark County Ambulance, Clark County Senior Center, and the Industrial Opportunities.
