Carol Lea (Goben) Clark, 58, of Kahoka, passed away at 2:38PM, Sunday, March 28, 2021, at her home.

Carol was born January 8, 1963, in Moline, IL, a daughter of the late Victor Lee and Bonnie Marie (Hedrick) Goben. She married Gregory Clark on June 5, 1982, in Stockton, IA, he survives.

Carol was a goofy and memorable woman, her contagious smile lit up the room every time she walked in. Carol enjoyed cooking, she worked at Steve’s Family Dinning and Cookies for a period of time, both located in Kahoka. Prior to moving to Kahoka, Carol and Greg owned and operated two businesses in Texas, Clark Landing and the Horseshoe Lounge. Carol had many different collections, one being a variety of crosses, another being plants. Carol and Greg could be found watching NASCAR racing on their Sunday afternoons, her favorite driver was the retired Mark Martin. Carol will be greatly missed by many, including her fur babies, Louie and Tatar Bud.

Survivors include her husband Greg, two daughters; Ashley (“Mac”) Hutchison of Prairie Hill, TX, Talitha Stahler of Davenport, IA, one son, Matthew Clark of Kahoka, two sisters; Christine Goben of Silvis, IL, Debbie (Jeff) Goben of Canyon Lake, TX, two brothers; Steven Goben of New Boston, IL, Buddy (Michelle) Goben of Ashville, NC, parent-in-laws, Dave and Loretta Clark of Mart, TX, three sister-in-laws; Kim Goben of New Boston, IL,  Jenny Clay of Mart, TX, Juanita (Clarence) Larkin of Las Cruces, NM, one brother in law, Dave (Laurel) Clark of Stockton, IA, five grandchildren; Hailee Mae Williams, Jordan Matthew Ezra Clark, Gregory Doc Clark, Asher Michael Victor Hutchison, Brody Lane Clark, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss her dearly. Carol was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation rites were accorded. There will be no services at this time. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials contributions in Carol’s name are suggested to the family with checks payable to Doug Clark and may be sent to the Wilson and Triplett Funeral Home in Kahoka MO.
