Carol Ann Frey, 81, of Kahoka, passed away at 9:26 AM on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at her home in Kahoka.
Carol was born on April 23, 1940, in Burlington, IA, the daughter of the late Ralph and Francis (Carlson) Lippert.
She was a 1958 graduate of Burlington Notre Dame High School. On July 3, 1970, she married Duane “Dewey” Frey in Keokuk, IA, he survives.
Carol was highly devoted to her church, attending Keokuk Lutheran Church since 1976 with her husband Duane, she was also a member of the Woman’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. She was employed by C&R in Kahoka until her retirement. Carol was a member of the Lion’s Club, which she shared with her husband, Duane, and was also a Girl Scout Leader in Wayland for many years. Carol was a hard worker and took great pride in raising her children.
Survivors include her husband, Duane, one daughter, Christine Frey of Bradenton, FL, two sons; Richard Frey of Davenport, IA, Charles Frey, one brother, William (Jan) Lippert of Burlington, IA, one sister, Patricia “Pat” Johnson of Burlington, IA, and one granddaughter, Carsyn Dye. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother-in-law, Dave Johnson.
Cremation rites were accorded. A visitation was held Friday, May 21, from 6-8PM. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 22, at 10 AM at Wilson and Triplett Funeral Home in Kahoka. Pastor Rodney Underwood officiated the service. Memorial contributions in Carol’s name were suggested to the First Lutheran Church in Keokuk or The Gideon International and could be sent to the Wilson and Triplett Funeral Home.
