Charles "Chuck" Jenkins, 77, of Kahoka, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at his home in Kahoka.
Chuck was born July 1, 1947, at Keokuk, IA., the son of Curtis Junior and Patricia Ann (Overhulser) Jenkins. He married Kathy Ann (Speer) Jenkins, and to this union 1 child was born, he married Cathy Dawn (Brown) Jenkins, to this union 4 children were born, he married Debra (Bronk) Jenkins, 1 child was born and 2 more added to this union. Debra preceded him in death on May 25, 2004. On November 10, 2006, he married Sue (McAllister) Jenkins, and 6 children was added to the family.
Chuck graduated from Kahoka High School in 1965. He actually, enlisted in the Marines before he graduated from High School. Chuck was a 4-year active Marines, 2 years in-active Marines, 21+ in the U.S. Army Reserve. In 1992 he retired from the United States Military. After retiring he was a Paramedic for the Clark County Ambulance, the Clark County Rescue, a First Responder, VFW Post 4342 Commander, he also worked at several Body Shops owned by Neil Acklie and Delbert Huckey. Chuck was also member of the St Francisville Lodge #588 in Wayland, MO. In 2014 he received his service dog (Dickens), his best friend, and companion. Chuck didn’t know a stranger, when you met Chuck, you knew you had a friend for life. Chuck loved his children, grandchildren, his siblings, and his best friend Dickens.
Chuck is survived by Sue Jenkins, 3 sons: Curtis (Ashley) Jenkins of Kahoka, MO., Kevin “Chub” (Shelby) Johnson of Revere, MO., Quintin Johnson of Revere, MO., 10 daughters: Crystal (Terra) Jenkins of Quincy, IL., Dawn (Peter) Graham of Alaska, Amy (Mike) Monnier of Burlington, IA., Andrea (Ernie Lewis) Jenkins of Quincy, IL., Ashley Walters of South Carolina, Brooke (Chris) Ruhs of Illinois, Carrie (Travis) Mathes of Kahoka, MO., Kali (Donald) Whitaker of Revere, MO., Kristi (Tommy) Oberman of Kahoka, MO., Kelsie (Jesse) Davis of Keosauqua, IA., 2 brothers: Stanley (Sheila) Jenkins of Luray, MO., Scottie (Libby) Goben of Kahoka, MO., 1 sister: Linda Leudeman of Kahoka, MO., 25 grandchildren, other relatives and a huge host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Debra, 1 daughter: Dana Brooke Jenkins, 1 brother: Tommy Jenkins, 2 brother-in-laws: Carl Leudeman and Merrill Sears.
Memorial Services for Charles “Chuck” Curtis Jenkins will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home in Kahoka, Missouri. Pastor Shawn McAfee will officiate. Burial will follow at the Keokuk National Cemetery, Keokuk, Iowa with full military rites. Visitation with family present will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, from 10:00 am with a Masonic service starting at 10:45 am before the service at 11:00 am at Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home.
