CHARLES FRANKLIN MOSS
Charles Franklin Moss, age 52, of Wayland, MO, died Tuesday, April 20, 2004 in Keokuk, IA.
He was born October 2, 1951, at Unionville, MO, He was the son of Carl and Katie Jimerson Cox and the late Kenneth Moss.
He was married to Mary Etta Fountain on October 28, 2002 at Moravia, IA.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Etta, of Wayland, MO; mother and step-father, Katie and Carl Cox of Moravia, IA; one son, Kenneth Wilson and his fiancé, Dana, of St. Louis,
MO; two daughters, Natalie Humphrey and her husband, Chad, of Kahoka, MO, and Tonya Small and her husband, John, of Memphis, MO; one step- son, Joe Fountain of Granger, MO; two step- daughters, Fawn Smith and her husband, Terry, Jr., of Granger, MO and Dawn Anders of Kahoka, MO; 3 grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; one brother, Frank Cox, of Moravia, IA;
four sisters, Norma Burns of Knoxville, IA, Karen Dommer of Moravia, IA, June Fort and her husband, Randy, of Knoxville, IA, and Carla Bauer and her husband, Dave, also of Knoxville, IA; 7 nieces and nephews; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Moss, in 1963, and a step-son, John Thirtyacre.
Charles graduated from Unionville High School. He had been employed by Keokuk Steel Castings for the past four years and previously at the former Shellor Globe and in Milton, IA. He was baptized as a youth at Grace Tabernacle Church in Unionville, MO.
He worked hard at whatever he did and was extremely loyal to his family and friends.
He was talented at woodworking and glass etching and loved etching animals. He was especially fascinated with wolves and enjoyed anything he could find picturing them or featuring them in articles. He was an avid reader and was interested in history. He also enjoyed listening to country classic music.
Funeral services are Saturday, April 24, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka, MO, with Dr. Rick Seaton officiating. Burial will be in Kahoka Cemetery. Friends can call at the funeral home after 9 a.m. on Friday with family receiving friends 6-8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the family.
