DAVID KENNETH FIELDS
David Kenneth Fields, age 70, of Williamstown, MO, died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 9, 2006, in the emergency room of the Scotland Co. Memorial Hospital in Memphis, MO.
He was born January 6, 1936, at his parent's home near Williamstown, MO; one of eight children born to Guy W. and Ruby Shumate Fields.
He married Donna Schoemaker on August 23, 1959 at Moline, IL. She preceded him in death on October 31, 1986.
Survivors include his daughter, Cynthia Fields, of Williamstown, MO; a sister, Lyla Barber and her husband, Mack, of Wyaconda, MO; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Esther Fields of Rock Island, IL, Dorothy Fields of Phoenix, AZ, Kenneth Ferguson of Ewing, MO, and Roger and Marilyn Hempen of Phoenix, AZ; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, several cousins, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Wayne, Richard, Forrest and Travis Fields; and two sisters, Madeline Ferguson and Joan Hempen.
David graduated from UTHS in 1953 in East Moline, IL and served in the National Guard for a number of years.
He was a foreman with John Deere in Moline, IL, retiring in 1987. Following his retire-
ment, he moved to Arizona City, AZ , returning to Missouri during the past year and a half. David was a jack of all trades and could make or repair anything. He had a menagerie of animals whom he loved caring for. He held a special place in his heart for his daughter, Cynthia and all of his family.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the Liberty Baptist Church, rural Williamstown, MO, with Rev. Ernest Deatrick officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Liberty Church Cemetery. Friends are invited to a luncheon following the service at the church. Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to the Liberty Baptist Church.
