DAVID LEON HILL

David Leon Hill, age 58, of Wayland, MO, passed away on Monday, September 6, 2004 at the Clark Co. Nursing Home in Kahoka.

He was born November 14, 1945 at Kahoka, MO, a son of Everett Carl and Twila Mae Best Hill.

Survivors include two brothers, Everett Hill of Wayland, MO and Carl Hill and his wife, Mary, of Kahoka, MO; one sister, Betty Lou Cady of Davenport, IA; nieces and nephews:Linda Booth of Wayland, MO, Harley Hill of Kahoka, MO, Carl Hill, Jr. of Hunnewell, MO, Howard Eugene Hill of Quincy, IL, Tom Hill of Fort Madison, IA, Dan Cady of Wisconsin, and Sherry Cady of Davenport, IA; aunts and uncles, Lila Bailey of Owosso, MI, Delbert Best of Kalona, IL, Nelma Peterson of East Moline, IL, Wilbur Best of Buena Vista, AR, and Madeline Davidson of Quincy, IL; also several great nieces and nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother in infancy, Harvey Eugene Hill; a brother-in-law, Roger Cady; and two sisters-in-law, Geraldine Hill and Sue Hill.

David graduated from Kahoka High School and worked construction and farmed as long as his health permitted. Although he had several occupations through the years, construction and farming were his favorites and he enjoyed the many years he farmed with the Buschling Brothers.

He loved playing cards with family and friends. He also loved horses and being out of doors fishing and hunting. He was also an avid race fan.

Funeral services are Friday, September 10, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with burial in Sand Cemetery.

Friends can call from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Thursday and from 9 a.m. until time of services Friday with family receiving friends 12:30 p.m. until 2.

Memorials are suggested to the family.
