Scott David Waterman (50) of Washington, Missouri passed away October 1, 2022, at Mercy 1 Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa. He was born August 15, 1972, in Burlington, Iowa, the son of John and Linda (Moore) Waterman of Eureka, Missouri. He was a machinist programmer doing contract work in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The little boy in him never left as he loved collecting 1/25th scale model cars and hot wheels. If he had to go to Walmart, he would never leave without visiting the toy aisle. Amazon knew him well too.
Scott never knew a stranger. He loved his family and would do anything for them willingly and never expected anything in return. He made sure his immediate family was in church on Sundays and Church Camp in the summers. His charisma and sense of fun followed him his entire life and his passing leaves an empty place in the hearts of his dear friends and family.
Scott is survived by a son; Wyatt Waterman of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and two daughters; Nicole Waterman of Tulsa Oklahoma and Grace Waterman of Traverse City, Michigan; a brother, Shannon Waterman and his wife Sherry of Eureka, Missouri; and a niece Peyton Waterman; and a nephew Parker Waterman both of Eureka, Missouri; two uncles, Wayne Moore of Kahoka, Missouri and David Moore of Lakewood Ranch, Florida; one aunt, Shirley Barry Stevenson of New London, Iowa; and numerous cousins and second cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
There will be a visitation at Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home at 11:00am on Saturday, October 8, 2022, with a procession and graveside service at 12:00pm at the Kahoka Cemetery. Pastor Dan Deatrick will officiate.
Memorials in Scott’s name are being directed to a fund for his surviving children.
