Dennis Ray Morgan, 76, of Kahoka, passed away at 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at the Clark County Nursing Home, in Kahoka, MO.
He was born on August 26, 1947, in Kirksville, MO, the son of Raymond Morgan & Forrest Rose (Cottrell) Morgan. Dennis was united in marriage to Judith E (Dieterich) Morgan on December 24, 1966 in Kahoka, MO. and to this union a daughter was born Monisa Rae Morgan.
Dennis graduated from the Clark County School District. He was in enlisted in the Army on October 6, 1966 to August 9, 1967. He worked for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad as a Welder and retired in 2002. He loved living in the country and enjoyed the wildlife he would see from his home. His hobbies were Deer, turkey, mushroom and artifact hunting and fishing. He was a family man and enjoyed special times with his granddaughters, siblings and his extended family and many friends.
Dennis is survived by his son-in-law Kevin (Carolynn) Clark of Farmersville, IL, 2 granddaughters; Isabelle Clark and Elena Clark both of Farmersville, IL, 1 sister; Judy Bogener of Kahoka, MO, 1 brother; Jay (Cheryl) Morgan of Williamstown, MO, a brother-in-law Wayne Laubersheimer of Keokuk, Iowa; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Judith, a daughter Monisa Rae Clark, a sister Donna Laubersheimer, and a brother-in-law Sam Bogener.
Funeral Services with Military Honors will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at The Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home in Kahoka. Pastor Rick Addison will officiate. Burial to follow at the Kahoka City Cemetery in Kahoka, MO. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service from 10:00 A.M. till time of service at the Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Dennis are suggested to the Kahoka Cemetery or American Legion Post 192.
