ELMON ROY PEARSON
Elmon Roy Pearson, age 71, of Kahoka, MO, died peacefully Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the Clark Co. Nursing Home where he had been a resident the past seven years.
Roy was born May 26, 1940 in Quinton, OK, a son of Roy and Gertrude Green Pearson. He was married previously and had two daughters from this union, Toni and Lisa. In 1989 he was united in marriage to Helen Horter Oswald in Des Moines, IA.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Pearson, of Kahoka, MO; his two daughters and his stepchildren and their families: Toni Trail and Lisa Pearson, both of Tulsa, OK; Mary (Mrs. Calvin) Mohler of Burnett, TX, Sharon (Mrs. Rick) Salvador of Lakeport, CA, Albert Oswald of Des Moines, IA, and Vicky (Mrs. Bobby) Cleghorn of Des Moines, IA; a brother, Lesley Buddy Pearson of Quinton, OK; three sisters, Shirley Russell of Quinton, OK, and Virginia Hufer, and Wanda Haddex, both of Oklahoma City, OK; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Edith Templeton of Keokuk, IA, Twila Horter and John Irvin, both of Kahoka, MO; as well as other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Floyd, Richard, Otis, Melvin and Carol Pearson.
Roy was a retired truck driver and in his spare time had relaxed by hunting and fishing. He and Helen had enjoyed traveling, camping and hiking together. He also loved to sing and play his guitar and write songs. He was a member of Peaksville Christian Church.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service will be held at a later date at Peaksville Christian Church with Pastor Shawn McAfee officiating. Inurnment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery.

Arrangements have been handled by Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka.
