ERMA GRACE SELLERS
Erma Grace Sellers, age 84, of Salina, KS, formally of Mt. Sterling, IA, died Wednesday, June 4, 2008 in Salina, KS.
She was born October 21, 1923 in Kahoka, MO, the daugher of Lewis Albert and Ethel Billings Herring.
She graduated from Granger High School.
On March 26, 1949, she was united in marriage to Elmer P. Sellers in Kahoka, MO. To this union three children were born: Gary, Linda and Randy.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Lamer and her husband, Darrell, of Salina, KS; two sons, Gary Sellers and his wife, Elodie, of Fairfield, IA, and Randy Sellers and his wife, Marla of Lenexa, KS; a brother-in-law, Sylvan Red Sellers of Kahoka; two sisters-in-law, Marguerite LaMaster of Keokuk, IA and Betty Turnbow fo Memphis, MO;seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, Derek and Candice Smith, Colin of Gilbert, AZ; Julie and Keith Browning, James, Kaitlyn, Jaeden and Kyle of Ft. Myers, FL; Chad and Stacey Lamer, Kennedy of Lawrence, KS; Bryant and Kari Lamer of Parkville, MO; Aaron Lamer of Salina, KS; Miranda and Whitney Vose of Lenexa, KS; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; five brothers, Ebert, Lewis Jr., Orville, Emerson, and Eldred Herring; two sisters, Madeline Herring in infancy and Ruth Eggleston.
Erma was of the Methodist faith. She was a homemaker and loved to cook. She was famous for her fried chicken and pie. Erma loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed gardening and fishing. Most of all she loved her family.
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 12, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with Leon Buford officiating. Burial was in Combs Cemetery in Luray, MO.
