EWING LESTER KEY

Ewing Lester Key, age 80, of Williamstown, MO, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2019 at his home.

He was born May 2, 1939 in Barren County, KY, a son of Jack and Lucille Wood Key.

On April 10, 1997 he was united in marriage to Barbara Myers who survives.

Additional survivors include one brother, Mitchell Key of Kentucky; a sister, Zona (Clarence) Patterson of Kentucky; three grandchildren and their families: Bradley King of Jackson, MO, and Bruce Key and Cobra Hobb, of Keokuk, IA; stepchildren and their families:

Paula (Norman) DeBrackeleire of Montrose, IA, Billie Lay of Kahoka, MO, Laura Rhodes of Van Cleve, MS, Sheri Key of Palmyra, MO, Tracie Wolf of Canton, MO and Russell Wolf of MN; a great grandchild being raise in the home, Levi Rhodes; and a foster great grandchild being raised in the home, Conner Murphy.

He was preceded in death by a son, Fred Key; a granddaughter and her husband, Tabitha and Buddy Smith; and, three brothers: Mack Medley, Archie Key and Michael Key.

Ewing was employed most of his life as a truck driver. Following his retirement he worked for Bill Bash. He loved working outside, taking extra special care of his lawn and caring for his live stock. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, hunting and fishing. He also loved to travel, especially to Kentucky to see the sights and visit family. More than anything, he loved being with his grandkids and great grandkids.

There was not a visitation or services.

Memorials were made to the family.

The family was assisted by Wilson Funeral Home.
