FORISTE M. "FROSTY" HAGEMAN
Foriste M. "Frosty" Hageman, age 93, of Wayland, MO, died Saturday, September 25, 2004 in the Clark Co. Nursing Home where he had been a resident the past two months.
He was born June 20, 1911 in Luray, MO, a son of Curtis and Cora DeFord Hageman.
On November 21, 1938, he was united in marriage to Virginia M. Talbott in Kahoka. She preceded him in death on July 8, 2001.
Survivors include two sons, Foriste Lee Hageman and his wife, Betty, of Canton, MO,
and James L. Hageman and his wife, Terry, of Kahoka, MO; three sisters-in-law, Eulalee Hendricks, Warsaw, IL, Ramona Bruce and her husband, Charles Perry Bruce of Reeves, LA, and Mary Ann Talbott of Moss Bluff, LA; twelve grandchildren: LeeAnn Luko of Fairbanks, AK, Dean Hageman of Canton, MO, Thomas Hageman of Kinderhook, IL, Lawrence Hageman Christine Paul and Curtis Hageman, all of Kahoka, MO, Shelly Flacks of Quincy, IL, Dustin Hageman, Teresa Hageman and Gena Palmer, all of Wayland, MO, Brian Hageman of Canton, and James D. Hageman of Kahoka; sixteen great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; three brothers, Fred, Earnest and Ralph Hageman; and, four sisters, Gladys Phillips, Dorothy Harmon, Mae McWhortor and Pearl Hageman in infancy.
Frosty had worked at several factories including Keokuk Steel Castings, however, farming was his main occupation and his main enjoyment. He enjoyed fishing and redoing furniture and loved to visit with friends and family.
Funeral services are Monday, September 27, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with burial in Frazee Cemetery.
Friends can call after 4 p.m. on Sunday with family receiving friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the Wayland United Methodist Church.
