FRANK D. HOOPER

Frank David Hooper, age 83, of Wyaconda, MO, died Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at his home.

He was born December 2, 1921 at Wyaconda, MO, a son of Charles and Addie Clemmons Hooper.

He had been married to Lois Allen and they were the parents of a daughter, Nancy.

Survivors include his daughter, Nancy Johnson and her husband, Larry, of Memphis, TN; grandchildren: Allen Johnson, Jason and Katherine Johnson, Aaron Johnson, Damon and Laura Johnson, and Amanda and Micheal Tacker; one great grandson, Zachary Hill; a sister-in-law, Lucille Hooper of Wyaconda, MO; nieces and nephews, Roy Lee Hooper of Wyaconda, MO, Kenneth Hooper of Peoria, IL, Bobby Don Hooper of Fort Madison, IA, Ada Allen of Wyaconda, MO, and Lenna Rockhold of Arbela, MO; as well as great nieces and nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, James and Charles Owen Hooper.

Frank was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater where he received a Purple Heart. After returning from the service he was well known as a mechanic in Wyaconda, working through the years for John Polhans, Linley Egbert, and George Seyb. He always enjoyed tinkering with and repairing automobiles. He was interested in the welfare of children and contributed when able to the Wyaconda School District.

Graveside memorial services are Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at the Wyaconda Cemetery with full military rites.

There will be no visitation.

Memorials in his honor are suggested to the Wyaconda Cemetery.
