Gary Joseph LeMaster, 82, of Alexandria, MO, died Saturday, March 8, 2025, in St. Charles, MO with his family by his side.

He was born on March 23, 1942, in Keokuk, IA, the son of William Ralph and Frances Catherine Wilkins LeMaster. On June 3, 1962, Gary was united in marriage to Mary Maxine Sackman in Keokuk. She precedes him in death.

He is survived by his son, Bill (Dawn) LeMaster of St. Charles, MO, five grandchildren, Heather (Casey) Yates of Kahoka, MO, Devan LeMaster of St. Charles, MO, Joshua LeMaster of St. Charles, MO, Lauren (Jared) Parker of Saginaw, TX, and Seth LeMaster of O’Fallon, MO, five great-grandchildren, Brayden (Rachel) Brunk of St. Patrick, MO, Danika Wilson of Kahoka, MO, Paiton LeMaster of St. Charles, MO, and Nora and Hollyn Parker of Saginaw, TX, one great-great grandson, Hayes Brunk of St. Patrick, MO. Other survivors include one sister, Janis Davis of Burlington, IA, and one brother, Ken (Janice) LeMaster of Revere, MO, two sisters-in-law, Virginia Price of Kahoka, MO and Kathy LeMaster of Wayland, MO, two brothers-in-law, Raymond (Megan) Sackman of Bonnie, IL and Frank Sackman of Alexandria, MO, many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws, Dwayne and Dora Altmaier, one daughter, Hope Overhulser, one son-in-law, Dave Overhulser, four brothers, Harold (Roseann) LeMaster of St. Francisville, MO, Donald LaMaster and wife Margerite, William LeMaster and wife Mary, and Tom LeMaster, four sisters, Barbara Holtkamp, Leona Rampley and husband Gene, Velma Dickwisch and husband Jack, Mary Toops and husband Bud and two brothers-in-law, Leonard Price and David Davis.

Gary worked his entire career at Keokuk Steel Castings until his retirement in 2004. Gary enjoyed gardening with his neighbor and sharing the fruits of their labor with the community. He was a devoted family man who loved spending time with his grandchildren and his dog Rickie. He also loved to hunt and fish in his younger days, as well play horseshoes with his brothers, nephews and family friends along the Des Moines River in St. Francisville.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from 3-5 p.m. at the Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home in Kahoka with cremation rights following. Memorials may be made to the Alexandria Volunteer Fire Department.
