Bud was a member of the Wyaconda Christian Church. He grew up on a farm along with his siblings Richard and Louise near Wyaconda, MO. Bud’s job was to paint and steer the ship with the pilot telling him what to do.

After Bud returned from the Pacific, he worked for Isom Martin in raising hogs. Bud raised registered Hampshire hogs, and he was the second oldest breeder in the United States at that time. Over the years Bud worked in construction, on the railroad, and as an auctioneer. He also owned an antique store and ran a sale barn. He enjoyed Blue Grass music. Bud had a good heart and loved his family.
