Ginger L. Yates, age 21, of Villisca, IA, formerly of Clark County, MO, died unexpectedly on Sunday, March 26, 2006 in Red Oak, IA.

She was born April 15, 1984, in Springdale, AR, a daughter of Jeff and Mary Miller Herring.

On September 13, 2004, she was united in marriage to Kyle A. Yates in Las Vegas, NV, and they were the proud parents of Delaney Marie.

She is survived by her husband, Kyle, and precious daughter, Delaney, of Villisca, IA; her parents, Mary and Cleo Hemingway of Lancaster, MO and Jeff Herring of Bentonsville, AR; her in-laws: Mark Yates of Keokuk, IA and Tammy and Dustin Kirchner of Bowling Green, MO; her grandparents: Betty Miller of Keokuk, IA and Sarah and Terry Remley of Garfield, AR; Kyle's grandparents: Bill and Melba Yates of Luray, MO, Ruby Davis of Warsaw, MO, Jean Hunter of Keokuk, IA,Mary and Jerry Campbell of Alexandria, MO, and Gary and Gretchen Kirchner of Kahoka, MO; also, Kyle's great-grandparents: Dorothy Kirchner and Grace and Wayne Hodges, all of Kahoka; two brothers: Darrell Herring and his companion, Natoshia Risher of Wyaconda, MO and John Herring of Lancaster, MO; two sisters, Sarah and Eric Stewart of Luray, MO and Michelle Herring of Memphis, MO; her sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Kala Yates of St. Louis, MO, and, Janna Yates and Kody Yates, both of Kahoka, MO; nieces and nephews: Ethan Herring, Luke and Sierra Stewart, Ryan Kerfoot and Mary Kellum; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Lyle Miller.

Ginger attended most of her school years at Wyaconda, graduating from Clark Co. R-1 High School in 2003. For the past three years she had lived in Villisca where she was employed at the Stanton Care Center as a CNA.

She loved taking pictures and scrapbooking which became more important after having Delaney. She also enjoyed sewing and reading and doing things outdoors. She was a loving wife and more than anything, loved being a mother to Delaney and caring for her home.

Funeral services are Friday, March 31, 2006 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Kahoka with Rev. Kenneth Beckmann and Rev. Ernest Deatrick officiating. Burial will follow in Kahoka Cemetery.

Friends can call after 10 a.m. Thursday at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Memorials may be made to Kyle and Delaney. On-line condolences may be expressed at www.timeformemory.com/wilsonfh.
