HAROLD D. O'DAY

Harold D. O'Day, age 85, of Kahoka, MO, passed away Friday, March 11, 2005 in Keokuk Area Hospital, Keokuk, Iowa.

He was born November 12, 1919 near Chambersburg, MO, a son of John C. and Margaret C. Mitchell O'Day.

He and Betty Lou Morris were married January 2, 1944 at Oklahoma City, OK.

She preceded him in death on September 19, 1994.

Survivors include a son, John O'Day and his wife, Chris, of Hutchinson, KS; two grandsons, Sean C. O'Day, his wife, Louise, and their daughter, Keighley, of Cardiff by the Sea, CA, and Charles C. O'Day, his wife, Michelle, and their daughter, Madison,of Branson, MO; special friend, Thelma O'Day of Kahoka, MO; brother-in-law, Morgan Cooper Morris, Jr. of Kahoka, MO; sister-in-law, Marie O'Day of Lakewood, CO; as well as other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Lou; one son, Charles O'Day; a daughter, Peggy O'Day; and a brother, Calvin O'Day.

Harold was a graduate of Wayland High School. He served in the Army during World

War II and returned to Clark County where he farmed and later operated O'Day Hearing Aid Service.

He was a member of the Wayland United Methodist Church and past chairman of the Clark Co. Democratic Committee. He was a 58 year Masonic member of St. Francisville Lodge # 588, A.F. & A.M. and member of York Rite Bodies, Moila Temple, and Legion of Honor. Also, charter member and past president of the Missouri Hearing Aid Association. Harold enjoyed people and all the friends he made through his various associations.

Funeral services are Thursday, March 17, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with Pastor Mike Shea officiating. Burial with full military rites will be in Kahoka Cemetery.

Friends can call after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Wilson Funeral Home. A public masonic service will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home followed by family receiving friends until 8:30 p.m.

Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to the Kahoka Cemetery or Alzheimer's Association.
