HELEN E. DAVIDSON

Helen E. Davidson, age 98, of Ashton, MO, died Wednesday, May 20, 2015 in the Clark Co. Nursing Home in Kahoka.

Helen was born April 4, 1917 near Morning Sun, IA, a daughter of Allen and Grace Cox Hudson.

She married Cecil M. Davidson on November 18, 1939 at Bucklin, MO. He preceded her in death on December 24, 1983.

Survivors include her children: Nancy Davidson of Kahoka, MO and Larry and James Davidson, both of Ashton; as well as several nieces and nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Arlene Wilke; three brothers: Eugene, Burdette and Donald Hudson; brother-in-law Harold Davidson and sister-in-law,
Rosa Kraus.

Helen graduated from high school while living in Iowa. She was a janitor at Ashton School until it closed and then spent the rest of her life as a housewife. She was of the Methodist faith. Helen loved caring for her family, watching birds, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan.

Graveside services were held Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at the Ashton Cemetery in Ashton, MO, with Pastor Barb Hagerla officiating. Family received friends on Saturday from 12:30 until 1:15 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka. Pallbearers were: John Parker, Darren Hall, Ed Wollam, and Harold Hall.
