HELEN ARCHER EBERT
Helen Archer Ebert, age 79, of Kahoka, MO, died Sunday, March 11, 2007 at the Clark Co. Nursing Home in Kahoka.
She was born June 18, 1927 in Calhoun County, IA, a daughter of Alonzo J. and Jessie Ausberger Archer. She attended school in Varina, IA.
She married LeWarren "Bill" Crosser on August 8, 1946 who preceded her in death. She later married Dean Ebert on September 16, 1961 who also preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Jim Yeoman and his wife, Judy, of Dakota Dunes, SD, their children and grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Leathel Archer of Varina, IA; also several nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands; a brother, Don Archer of Varina, IA; a sister, Beulah Sanders, of Benson, MN; also two nieces and a nephew.
She and her husband, Dean, lived in Kahoka where they managed a hotel and she was a switchboard operator. In later years they owned a ceramic shop in Melbourne, AR. Following his death, Helen returned to Kahoka where she was an active member of the Kahoka United methodist Church and of O.A.T.S. She enjoyed flea markets, painting, playing cards and bingo, needlework and traveling. She enjoyed serving on the O.A.T.S. committee, spending time at the Clark Co. Senior Center and with her friends at the Kahoka Senior Housing. She always had a smile on her face for everyone she met.
Funeral services are Friday, March 16, 2007 at 4 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with Rev. Deborah Schmidt officiating. Burial will be Friday, March 23, 2007 at 2 p.m.in Cedar Township Cemetery in Fonda, IA.
Friends can call at Wilson Funeral Home after 4:30 p.m. Thursday with family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to O.A.T.S. or to the Clark Co. Senior Center.
