Helen Pearson

Helen Pearson (85 years) of Kahoka, Missouri, passed away at 5:02 pm, on Monday, November 22, 2021 at SE Iowa Regional Medical Center in Burlington, Iowa. She would have turned 86 on  December 8, 2021.

Helen was born in Luray, Missouri to Roy and Alma Horter. Her seven siblings all predeceased her.

Above all things Helen was a wonderful and loving mother to her four children; Mary Mohler, Sharon (Rick) Salvador, Albert "Buster" Oswald and Vicky Cleghorn. She is also survived by her stepson Larry (Betty) Oswald and by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was auntie to many nieces and nephews and she adored them all.

Helen devoted her life to her children and worked hard, too hard, to raise her family. She endured many hardships along the way. Helen devoted her life and love to all of us.

Mom thank you for showing us what it was like to be a hardworking and loving mom. You showed us by example not to take any guff and to stand up for our beliefs. You taught your daughters to be strong and independent. You taught your son how to be a man when we didn't have a male figure in our lives. Above all you kept us together and loved us all.

From Mom's amazing medical team to her hairdresser Kim for coming to Mom's house to do her hair and the Irvin family for all they did for our Mom, we say thank you.

We hope we didn't forget anyone. Services are  planned for a later date. Memorial contributions in memory of Helen are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice.
