HUGH L. HAGERMAN

Hugh L. Hagerman, age 83, of Kahoka, MO, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at the Clark Co. Nursing Home in Kahoka.

He was born June 24, 1922 at Keokuk, IA, the son of Otho M. and Almira Cannon Hagerman.

He married Katherine M. Folchie on September 23, 1949 at Denton, TX. She preceded him in death on December 5, 1975. On December 28, 1991 he and Sandra Jackson Long were united in marriage at the United Methodist Church in Wayland.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra, of Kirksville, MO; a step-son, Mike Long, of Overland Park, KS; a step-daughter, Lori Elschlager and her husband, Stan, of Kirksville, MO; a step-grandson, Lathen Paul Elschlager of Kirksville, MO; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Edwin and Anita Jackson, Roberta and Ronnie Martin and Romona and Basil Anders, all of Downing, MO and Penny and Harry Mossbrooks of Kirksville, MO; several first cousins: Stuart Hagerman of Keokuk, IA, Donald Hagerman of Forest Lake, MN, Frances Egan of Ventura, CA, Edwin Cannon and Keith Cannon, both of Kahoka, MO, Charlotte Fox of Wayland, MO, Barbara Steele of Keokuk, IA, and, Rod Cannon of Revere, MO; several nieces and nephews; as well as other relatives, and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife.

Hugh was a 1941 graduate of Wayland High School and a member of the Wayland United Methodist Church.

Farming was the love of his life and he had farmed for over 60 years, retiring in 2002.

Funeral services are Saturday, October 22, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at the Wayland United Methodist Church with burial in Frazee Cemetery.

Friends can call at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka after 9 a.m. Friday with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the Wayland United Methodist Church, Frazee Cemetery, or to the donor's choice.
