James Davidson

James Davidson, 71, of Luray, passed away at 3:58am, on Friday, November 17, 2023, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.  James was born on February 22, 1952, to Cecil and Helen (Hudson) Davidson. He was a 1970 graduate of Clark County R-1 High School.

James is survived by several cousins: Marilyn (Harold) Hall of Williamstown, MO, Virginia Hustead of Edina, MO, Janice Chance of Oklahoma, Richard Davidson of Texas, Bob Davidson of Illinois, and Royce Davidson of Missouri. James is also survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Cecial and Helen Davidson, one brother; Larry Davidson, and 1 sister; Nancy Davidson.

James worked for several large industries as a Night Security Guard until he retired at the age of 62. He enjoyed books and had a collection of them. James enjoyed mowing his yard and really loved his cat who was his best friend.  James was a simple man, and it didn’t take much to make him happy.

Graveside Services for James W. Davidson will be held at noon on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at the Ashton Cemetery in Ashton. Pastor Shawn McAfee will officiate.
