James L Hageman

James L Hageman, 83, of Kahoka, Missouri, passed away peacefully at 7:25 am on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.

 James was born on September 12, 1940, in Mt Hamill, Iowa to Foriste and Virginia (Talbott) Hageman.  He was united in marriage to Terril (Roberts) Hageman on September 19,1976, in Mendon, Illinois, and she survives. 

 James attended Wayland High School. He became a member of the Alexandria Gun Club in 1975. James was a truck driver for Carry Transit for many years and then drove a truck for Campbell trucking company until he retired.  James didn’t so call “retire”, he continued working with Brian in the logging business and farming. James enjoyed fishing and deer hunting. he also enjoyed tormenting his neighbors and special friends.  Jim was a simple man, liked to visit, and give advice freely even if you didn’t ask for it.    

James is survived by his wife: Terry Hageman, 5 sons: Lawrence (Patty) Hageman of Kahoka, MO., Curtis (Molly Zinnert) Hageman of Kahoka, MO., Dustin Hageman of Kahoka, MO., Brian (Linda) Hageman of Kahoka, MO., James (Tara Davis) Hageman of Kahoka, MO., 4 daughters: Chris (Arron) Paul of Kahoka, MO., Shelly (Jeff) Flachs of Quincy, IL., Teresa Hageman of Wayland, MO., Gena (Stuart) Palmer of Wayland,  MO., 1 brother: Foriste L Hageman of Canton, MO., 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, special friends, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister-in-law: Betty Hageman, 3 brother-in -laws: Gary Roberts, Jerry Roberts, and Steve “Bear” Roberts.

Graveside Services for James L. Hageman will be held Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 10:30 am at Frazee Cemetery, Wayland, MO.  Jeff Smith will officiate. Visitation with family present will be held at the Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home, on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Memorials in memory of James L Hageman are suggested to the Local Clark County Cancer Fund or Frazee Cemetery.
