JERRY S. WEBSTER

Jerry S. Webster, age 69, of rural Wyaconda, MO, died unexpectedly Thursday, March 27, 2014 at his home.

Jerry was born June 15, 1944 in Wyaconda, MO, a son of Gerald and Fern Taylor Webster.

He married Barbara Hayden and they were the parents of a son, Daniel. Entering this marriage he was blessed with two sons, Mike and Mark.

Survivors include his son, Daniel J. Webster (Lisa) of Mesquite, TX; step-sons, Mike Greisz (Julie) of Mayfield, KY and Mark Greisz (Dawn) of Venice, FL; his companion of ten years, Nancy Domke of the home; seventeen grandchildren: Kirsten Argueta (Johan) of Gurnee, IL, Zachary Webster of Ingleside, IL, Austin and Justin Stevens of Mesquite, TX, Ashlei Greisz of McHenry, IL, Caleb Garascia of Pensacola, FL, Logan Gayer of Round Lake Beach, IL, Anna, Thomas,, Vanessa, and Skyler Greisz of Mayfield, KY, Linette Fleura (John) of Genoa City, WI, Gwen Jacobs (Lloyd) of McHenry, IL, Heather Kraus (Steve) of Genoa City, WI, Joshua Greisz (Cindy) of Volo, IL, and Asia Greisz and Jessica Malsch, both of Venice, FL; ten great-grandchildren; three sisters, Peggy Helwig of Janesville, WI, Pat Norton of Sugarland, TX and Minnie McBride (Art) of Janesville, WI; many relatives, including Jan and Wayne Wagner of Kahoka and Russell Lee and Bonnie Webster of Wyaconda.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald Webster, Fern Webster Noble; and step-father, Virgil Noble.

Jerry was a 1964 graduate of Libertyville High School, Libertyville, IL. He served in the U.S. Navy from August of 1964 until April of 1968. He was a union electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 150, IBEW until his retirement in 2004. He was able to "come home" to Missouri and fulfilled his desire to live on a small farm surrounded by extended family. There he could spend time doing the things he enjoyed, fishing, hunting, hanging out with his dogs, and watching NASCAR. He enjoyed traveling and had just returned from "wintering" in Florida, something he looked forward to doing more of. Grocery shopping was something he loved to do and was an excellent cook who could prepare anything.

Memorial services and military honors were held Monday, March 31, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka. Family received friends from 1 p.m. until time of services.

Memorial donations are suggested to the North and Central Food Bank of MO to be used specifically for the Blackhawk Elementary Buddy Pack Program or to the Wyaconda Fire Department.
