John Ellis Lox Jr, 77, of Canton, Missouri, passed away at his home in Clark County on December 14, 2021.
John was born in Burlington, Iowa, on June 21, 1944, to John Ellis Sr. and Marjory Lox (Finley). John lived a full life. He was an electrician by trade, working many different locations throughout his years with BNSF. Some of John’s favorite things included: boating, watching sports on tv, riding his four-wheeler, working with his hands, and visiting with friends, neighbors, and strangers. In his younger years he enjoyed training and riding horses. Most of all, John loved every moment spent with his children and grandchildren, of which he was extremely proud. His best friend until the end was his Great Dane, Dexter.
John was preceded in death by his parents, John Sr. and Marjory. He is survived by his sons, Jason Lox (Amber) of Niota, Illinois; and Justin Lox (Karrie) of Minot, North Dakota; daughters, Jonna Lox (David) of Des Moines, Iowa; Michelle Lox (Jordan) of Aurora, Colorado, and Shelley Lox of Arizona; seven grandchildren, Tinley and Zoey Lox, Camilla and Caden Terrero, Isla Lox, Finley Couchon, and Ilaria Easom.
There was a graveside service honoring the life of John Ellis Lox on Monday, December 20th at 1 PM at the Oquawka Cemetery in Oquawka, Henderson County, Illinois.
