JUDY KAY DOCHTERMAN

Judy Kay Dochterman, age 64 of Montrose, IA, formerly of St. Francisville, MO, died Friday, July 8, 2005 in Great River Medical Center in West Burlington, IA.

She was born June 29, 1941 in Keokuk, IA, a daughter of Charles E. and Oletha Pearl Thompson Duncan.

She married Robert David Davis in October of 1958. He preceded her in death in September of 1961. She later married Joe Edward Dochterman.

Survivors include: two sons, Andy Ray Davis and his wife, Rhoda, of Hannibal, MO, and Michael Joe Dochterman and his wife, Leslie, serving in the military in England; two daughters, Conda Kay Davis Girdley of West Plains, MO and Kandy Sue Davis Derr and her husband, Rick, of Montrose, IA; two brothers, Charles E. Duncan of Sioux City, IA and Robert L.Duncan of Florida; two sisters, Mrs. George (Marion L.) Shafer of Blessing, TX, and Mrs. Verlin (Barbara R.) Davis of Keokuk, IA; nine grandchildren: Shea and Bryce Girdley, Michelle Hatton, Kristopher Peterson, Vincent Derr, Justin Davis, and Jonathan, Kathryn, and Lydia Dochterman; two great grandchildren, Donald Joe and David Lee Peterson; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, Richard E. Duncan.

Judy was of the Methodist faith and a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion Auxiliaries in Florida. She had moved to Cocoa, FL in 1982 where she was a former realtor and a current employee of Target in Melbourne. Her health began to fail and she moved to her daughter's home in Montrose in May to be cared for by her family. She enjoyed traveling and loved being a grandma. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Graveside memorial services will be held Saturday, July 16, 2005 at 10 a.m. at Frazee Cemetery south of Wayland, MO. Visitation and lunch will follow at noon at the Ivor FowlerCommunity Center in Montrose, IA.

Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to the Great River Hospice, West Burlington, IA.
