Kathryn "Connie" Woodsmall

Kathryn Colleen “Connie” Woodsmall, 69, of Kahoka, passed away at 3:18 am on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at her home.

She was born on February 8, 1954, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of the late Ronald & Betty (Loter) Eder. Connie attended Kahoka High School and graduated in 1973. She married Elmer “Ted” Woodsmall Jr. in 1974 at the United Methodist Church in Wayland and he survives.

Connie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wayland and enjoyed attending church. She and Ted enjoyed going out to eat with their friends at Steve’s and Fat Boys. Connie was an animal lover, and she liked her cats and dogs. Connie also served with the Clark County Rescue Squad for many years.

In addition to her husband of 49 years; Ted, of Kahoka, Connie is survived by a sister in-law; Charlotte Loter of Polk City, Iowa, an uncle; Francis Eder of East Moline, Illinois and by several cousins and friends. Besides her parents, Connie was preceded in death by a son in infancy; Albert Eugene Woodsmall and by her brother; Robert Loter.

Memorial services honoring Connie’s life will be conducted at 6:30 pm on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at the First Baptist Church of Wayland. Pastor Dan Deatrick will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5:30 pm until the time of services at the church. The Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care and arrangements.
