LANCE B. RIDGELY

Lance Bradley Ridgely, age 49, of Ketchikan, AK, died August 22, 2011 at his home following a long battle with cancer.

Lance was born December 30, 1961, in Keokuk, IA, a son of Brad and Sharon Peterson Ridgely.

He was united in marriage to Kelly Murphy on December 31, 1991 in Alaska.

Survivors include his wife, Kelly, of Ketchikan, his mother, Sharon Ridgely Long and her husband, Jim, of Lyman, SC; mother-in-law, Brenda Murphy of Ketchikan, AK; one son, Colten Ridgely of Bellingham, WA; two daughters, Miranda Ridgely of Bellingham, WA and Nichole Ridgely of Ketchikan, AK; one grandchild, Neveah Ridgely of Billingham, WA; two brothers, Leland Ridgely and his wife, Diana, and Cody Ridgely and his wife, Brandi, all of Kahoka, MO; a sister, Julieann Schofield and her husband, Mike, of Emmett, ID; step grandmother, Grace Peterson of Russell, IA; an uncle, Paul Peterson and his wife, Peggy, of Russell, IA; an aunt, Yvonne Florie and her husband, Mike, of Greer, SC; as well as nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father, Brad Ridgely; father-in-law, John Murphy; grandparents; step-son, Christopher; and, uncle, Rick Peterson.

Lance graduated from Clark Co. R-1 High School in 1980. The past 25 years he had been a partner in Ketchikan Welding North. Lance was a hard worker and in his spare time love to fish and hunt. More than anything he loved to spend time with his children and family.

Memorial services were held Friday, September 16, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Shawn McAfee officiating. Inurnment was in the Kahoka Cemetery. Memorials were suggested to the family.
