He only attended school through the 8th grade, but became a skilled electrician and received additional education through the years in order to become certified at his work and when he was replaced, his position was filled at a college level. He bought a farm near Revere and dabbled in farming and raised cattle. Together he and Lois enjoyed their time together spending time out doors, caring for calves and repairing fence. They also enjoyed time spent traveling together. He enjoyed being out doors and wandering around enjoying the wonders of nature and the wild flowers that grew along the fence rows. He also enjoyed listening to bluegrass music and played various instruments, particularly the accordian and the harmonica. He will be dearly missed by his family and his dog, Whitey, who he raised from a pup who was a faithful and loyal friend. He lived his life simply.
