Linda Eddleman

Linda (Simpson) Eddleman, 72, of Kahoka, passed away at 11:10 am, on April 1, 2024, at Hannibal Regional Hospital with her loving family by her side.

She was born on April 14, 1951, in Mt. Sterling, Illinois, the daughter of Bernard H. and Hazel A. (Gamill) Simpson. She graduated from Kahoka High School in 1969. She married Robert “Bob” Eddleman on October 18, 1970, at the United Methodist Church in Luray and he preceded her in death May 15, 2022.

Linda was always a hard worker, including working outside the home for many years for the Clark County School as a Custodian. Linda looked forward to visiting with neighbors and riding in the ranger around “the loop” with Bob and “tank” the dog.  Linda was thrilled to be able to attend as many events as possible that her grandchildren were involved in.  Linda loved nature from raising a garden, her flowers, and watching her many hummingbirds.  She was a gifted seamstress and quilter and made beautiful quilts.  Linda loved cooking for her family and looked forward to family gatherings.    

Linda is survived by a son; Robbie (Lora) Eddleman of Kahoka, 2 daughters; Lori (Tony) Anderson of Kahoka and Dena (Jesse) Norman of Columbia, 7 grandchildren; Kelsey (Riley) Watkins, Kourtney (Kyle) Meinhardt, Kyle (Kailey Stallo) Anderson, Lucus Eddleman, Owen Eddleman, Emery Norman and Lily Norman,  3 great grandchildren; Isaac Watkins, Ian Watkins, Lauren Meinhardt, 2 brothers: Wayne Simpson, Bernard (Janet) Simpson, 4 sisters: Carolyn Shaffer, Rose (Allan) Dochterman, Barbara (Randy) Colwell, Shirley Barnes, and by several nieces and nephews other relatives and a host of friends.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 brothers-in-law: Terry Barnes, Larry Shaffer, and 1 sister-in-law: Reva Simpson.

Funeral services for Linda Eddleman will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Friday, April 5, 2024, at the Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home in Kahoka. Pastor Shawn McAfee will officiate. Cremation rites will take place following the services. Visitation will be held Friday, April 5, 2024, from 4:00 pm until the time of service at 7:00 pm at the Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home.
