LORETTA ELAINE BRAMMER

Loretta Elaine Brammer, age 81, of rural route Alexandria, MO, died Wednesday,January 26, 2005 at her home.

She was born November 15, 1923 at Medill, MO, a daughter of Oma and Evalenah Marie (Mayer) White.

On January 24, 1943, she was united in marriage to Norman S. Brammer, Sr. at the Methodist parsonage in Kahoka by Rev. Monroe.

Survivors include: one son, Norman Spencer Brammer, Jr., and his wife, Janice, of Canton, MO; three daughters, Cheryl Brammer of Alexandria, MO; Deborah Dienst and her husband, Henry, of Alexandria, MO; Brenda Derrick and her husband, Neil, of Hannibal, MO; one brother, Dail White and his wife, Doris, of Memphis, MO; two sisters, Naoma Brammer of Kahoka, MO and Juanita Day and her husband, Donald, of Cantril, IA; a brother-in-law, Roger Brammer of Wayland, MO; a sister-in-law, Loudella Van Ausdall of Fort Madison, IA; six grandsons: Russell Dienst and his wife, Julie, Matthew Dienst and his wife, Tassie, Clayton Dienst, Seth and Justin Brammer, and Joshua Arnold; a step granddaughter, Hilary Derrick; a great granddaughter, Darian Dienst and a great grandson, Noah Dienst; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, Harold White.

Elaine was a graduate of Wayland (Missouri) High School She worked at Irwin Phillips in Keokuk during World War II while her husband was overseas and sold Avon for many years. Elaine devoted most of her time to raising and caring for her family. She was a member and had been a Sunday School teacher at the Alexandria Presbyterian Church and most recently attended the Alexandria Baptist Church. Her interests included reading (especially her Bible),

family, embroidering, traveling, and collecting lighthouses.

Funeral services are Saturday, January 29, 2005 at 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with Pastor Kay Ames and Brother Jason Hamlin officiating. Burial will be in Frazee Cemetery.

Friends can call after 2 p.m. on Friday at Wilson Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 6-7:30 p.m. followed by a celebration honoring her life through favorite songs and memories until 8 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the Alexandria Baptist Church.
