MARGARET SEDERBURG
Margaret Elgeva Dean Sederburg, age 82, of Mt. Sterling, IA, died at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 12, 2008 at Keokuk Area Hospital.
She was born June 11, 1925, at Spickard, MO, a daughter of Claude and Nora Turner Dean.
She married Miles Owen Sederburg on October 17, 1945, at Iowa City, IA. She lived her life in Clark County, MO, as a loving a caring mother and wife.
Surviving are her husband, Miles; five daughters: Dorothy and Jim Waterman of Arbela, Betty and Ed Drillon of Luray, Milia Sue and Gary Boatman of Arbela, Milinda Barber of Keosauqua, and Brenda and Brad Roush of Mt. Sterling; and a son, Donald and Mary Sederburg of Mt. Sterling. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and one on the way; three sisters, Cathern and John Huston of Kahoka, Margie and Marvin Sederburg of Luray and Pauline Cordray of Luray; two sister-in-law, Mary Jo Dean of Kahoka, Darlene Dean of Luray; as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nora and Claude Dean; mother-in-law, Mae Driscoll; brothers, C. Jay Dean, William Dean and Edward Dean; a grandson, Adam Sederburg; and nephews, Edward and Donnie Dean.
Miles and Margaret were married 62 loving years. Margaret enjoyed raising hogs and cattle on the farm. She was always thought of by her children and family to be a strong woman and wife. When she went to a farm auction, she could come back with anything! She always loved the business of operating a farm and called lots of people Charlie. She watched many of the grandchildren and loved every minute. Margaret said "Those were the times to teach them what they needed to know". She will live in our hearts and by our memories.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 16, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with Pastor Don Sherwood officiating. Burial was in the Combs Cemetery at Luray.
