MARSHA RAE ROACH

Marsha Rae Roach, age 59, formerly of Kahoka, MO, died on Wednesday, October 10, 2012,at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL, following a 2-year battle against cancer.

Marsha was born December 17, 1952 in Keokuk IA, a daughter of Roland W. Toad and Leona Tootie Hunziker Roach.

Survivors include her sister, Norma (Mrs. Jim) Bower of Quincy, IL; nieces, Stephanie (Mrs. Curt) Bennett of Quincy, IL and Kristi (Mrs.Ken) Gilbert of Clarendon Hills, IL; and a nephew, Shayne Houston of Sales Creek, TN; great nieces and nephews: Taylor Hiland, Jake Houston, Dulaney Bennett, and Ava and Jack Gilbert; aunts and uncle: Earl and Gladys Hunziker of Hamilton, IL, Pauline Wood of Zion, IL and Nettie Bash of Murfreesboro, TN; as well as cousins and other relatives. Special acknowledgment from the family goes to all those who have touched Marshas life especially her special cousins, Linda Boudreau and Judy McAfee.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Jack Houston.

Marsha graduated from Keokuk High School and worked for many years at the Industrial

Opportunities in Kahoka. In addition to being with her family, Marshas main interests were her cats and country music. She especially loved seeing and greeting friends and family.

The family would like to thank Blessing Hospice team for their wonderful care and Dr. Denton who was so help to all of them. As Marshas final act of goodness, Marsha donated her eyes to the Illinois Eye Bank so that someone else might see. What could be a better gift"

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 15, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Shrine of St. Patrick with Father James Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in the Kahoka Cemetery.

There will be no formal visitation, however, friends are invited to spend time with the family following burial at a luncheon at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Kahoka.

Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka is handling the arrangements.
