Mary Broomhall

Mary F. Broomhall, 83, of Kahoka, passed away at 2:57 pm, Friday, April 12, 2024, at the Clark County Nursing Home in Kahoka.

Mary was born on May 2, 1940, in Canton, Missouri to Otto Scott and Gladys Ruth (Karnes) Hess. She was united in marriage to Larry R. Broomhall on October 5, 1957 in Wayland, Mo., and he preceded her in death on August 2, 2009.  Mary was devoted member of the Southern Baptist Church in Wayland, Missouri, and was very involved with church activities. Mary adored flowers and antiques, and she was a loving grandmother and caring, helpful friend to those who knew her.  Mary’s light and love will be missed.

 Mary is survived by her son Terry (Pam) Broomhall from Keokuk, Iowa; 5 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

 Mary was preceded in by her parents; her husband, Larry Broomhall; daughter Julie Bird; son Larry Broomhall; her three sisters, Ruby, Till, and Carol; and her infant brother, Sonny.

There will be no services or visitation, cremation rites will be entrusted to Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home in Kahoka. Memorials in Mary’s memory may be made to the Clark County Nursing Home Activity Fund.
