MARY B. GRANDSTAFF
Mary Beth Grandstaff, age 56, of Kahoka, MO, died peacefully Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at her home.
Mary was born February 17, 1956 and was the happy daughter of Harold and Frances Shelton.
She graduated from Wyaconda High School and on June 3, 1978, married Earl C. Grandstaff on the small farm near Luray where she was raised and nurtured.
Survivors include her husband, Earl, of Kahoka, MO; one son, Jason Grandstaff and his wife, Cynthia, of Milwaukee, WI; two sisters, Elaine Martin and Emma Ferguson and her husband, Lee, all of Burlington, IA; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Martha and Joe LaFollette of Columbia, IA and Mary Richmiller of Cassville, MO; as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Gene and Paul Shelton, and a sister, Patricia Shelton.
Mary was member of the First Baptist Church of Kahoka. She was raised in a loving Christian home full of gospel music. She loved to listen to music, especially to Elvis Presley and was a huge fan of him.
Mary was an Avon Representative for many years. Even though it became extremely difficult for her to get around, she was able to attend Jason and Cynthia's wedding in Milwaukee on September 1, which was a blessing for all of them. Her family was her pride and joy.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 19, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with Rev. Rob Quillin officiating. Burial will follow in Ten Mile Cemetery, rural Canton, MO.
Friends may call at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka after noon on Thursday with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association or First Baptist Church of Kahoka.
