MARY VIRGINIA TRENOR GUTTING
Mary Virginia Trenor Gutting, age 92, of Kahoka, MO, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2004 in Keokuk Area Hospital.
She was born January 10, 1912 in Ottawa Township in Ottawa, IL, a daughter of Malcom A. and Lottie Lee Stebar Trenor.
She and Clell A. Gutting were married on June 25, 1929 at Ottawa. He preceded her in death in June of 1983.
Survivors include two daughters, Beverly Barrows and her husband, Guy, of rural Revere, MO, and Joanne Ragan and her husband, Bill, of Kahoka, MO; a daughter-in-law, Marlys Gutting of Kahoka, MO; a brother and a sister, Dale Tenor and Lucille Cox, both of Streator, IL; brother-in-laws, Vernon Gutting of Kahoka, MO and Roscoe Gutting and his wife, Fran, of Florida; seven grandchildren: Mike Gutting and his wife, Connie, of Kahoka, MO, Kim Ragan and his wife, Gina, of Fayetteville, GA, Gary Barrows and his wife, Jerri, of Hoffman Estates, IL, Gregg Barrows and his wife, Teresa, of St. James, MO, Shelly St. Clair of Holts Summit, MO, Gayla Huckey and her husband, Kirk, of Revere, MO, and Kerry Cole of Canton, MO; seventeen great grandchildren: Tara Gutting, Matthew Gutting and his wife, Erin, Krystol Gutting, Brady, Ben, Briana and Bailey Ragan, Brooke Barrows, T. J. Herron and his wife, Jennifer, Tessa Herron, Dallas and Betsy St. Clair, Emily, Adam, and Andrew Huckey, and Ethan and Taylor Cole; three great-great grandchildren, Logan and Landon Gutting, and Allison Herron; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, William M. Gutting; two brothers, Fritz and Leonard Trenor; and a great grandson, Bo Ragan.
Mary was a farm wife and homemaker. She loved to play cards, spend time with family and friends, and was known for her homemade noodles.
Funeral services are Wednesday, September 22, 2004 at 10 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with Pastor Dick Clifford officiating. Burial will be in Kahoka Cemetery.
Friends can call after 9 a.m. on Tuesday with family receiving friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the Kahoka Christian Church or the Peaksville Christian Church.
