MARY E. LIPPER

Mary E. Lipper, age 85, of Kahoka, MO, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at the Clark Co. Nursing Home in Kahoka.

Mary was born January 10, 1931 at Peaksville, MO, one of fifteen children of Everett and Esther Kautz Evermon.

She attended the Revere High School and on August 25, 1950, was united in marriage to Kenneth E. Lipper in Kahoka.

Survivors include two sons, Randy (Debbie) Lipper of Revere, MO and Carroll (Anita) Lipper of Kahoka, MO; one daughter, Becky Hopp of Memphis, MO; eleven grandchildren: Shana Lindsey of Kahoka, Jason (Bethany) Hopp of Licking, MO, Misty Adams of Kahoka, Shane Brakefield of Jefferson City, Heather (Scott) Bethards of Leighton, IA, Stephene (Matt) Kirchner of Alexandria, Amy (Jesse) Heimer of Taylor, Miranda (Brent) Goings of Kahoka, Heidi (Chris) Adams of Kahoka, Kenneth "Bill" (Tara) Lipper of Agency, IA, Holly Lipper and fiancé, Nick Cochenour of Luray; twenty-nine great grandchildren; one brother, Ernest Evermon of Hamilton; three sisters, Zola Brammer of Kahoka, Laura Webber of Unionville, and Betty Fox of Higginsville, MO; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Willa Merle and Virgil Bronstine of Canton, Carol Lipper of Sperry, IA, Marge Lipper of Montrose, and Gerry Evermon of Kahoka; as well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers: George, Howard and Roy (in infancy) Evermon; seven sisters: Vera Mae Shuler, Viola Davis, Pearl Gregory, Frances Gregory, Beulah Dobson, Mabel Wolfe, and Myrtle Evermon in infancy; a son, Dennis Lipper; grandson, Brent Lipper; and son-in-law, Keith Hopp.

Mary was baptized into the membership of the Peaksville Christian Church and most recently attended the Kahoka Christian Church. She was an employee of Sheller Globe in Keokuk for over twenty years. Mary loved to play bingo and do crafts, especially latchwork. She was an avid card player and loved to keep score, most often to her advantage! She enjoyed all of her children's and grandchildren's friends who entered her home through the years. She was very close to her family and her large, extended family and spending time with them was very dear to her.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with Pastor Shawn McAfee officiating. Burial followed in the Kahoka Cemetery. Special music as provided by vocalist, Bethany Hopp singing "The Old Rugged Cross". Other music selections were: "Amazing Grace and "The Hand That Rocked The Cradle". Pallbearers were: Carroll Lipper, Bill Lipper, Jason Hopp, Randy Lipper, Matt Kirchner and Brent Goings.

Friends called at Wilson Funeral Home after 9 a.m. Tuesday with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m.

Memorials were suggested to the donor's choice.
