MICHAEL L. MORRISON

Michael Lane Morrison, age 56, of Revere, MO, died Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at his home following a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Michael was born February 25, 1955 at Muscatine, IA, one of nine children born to Raymond Cecil and Helen M. Felker Morrison.

He married Linda Crutcher and they were the parents of a daughter, Mandy Marie. He later married the love of his life, Diann Taylor Stone, on July 16, 1987 in Kahoka. They were together for 26 years, loving and devoted to each other.

Survivors include his wife, Diann, of Revere; a daughter, Mandy Marie Garcia of Hamilton; one granddaughter, Bella Garcia; three step-children: Angela Stone of Atlanta, GA, Sherri (Jared) Reddick of Dunnellion, FL, and Derrell (Nikki) Stone of Naylor, GA; eight step grandchildren; three brothers: Charles (Barb) Morrison of Rock Falls, IL, Larry (Sharon) Morrison of Peaksville, and Ronnie Morrison of Kahoka; four sisters: Linda (Dan) Riley of Jadwin, MO, Sandy Darnell of Springfield, MO, Deborah (Mark) Brammer of Wayland, and Patricia LaMaster of Kahoka; sister-in-law, Carol Morrison of Kahoka; uncle, Alfred (Jan) Maple of Liberty, IL; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant sons, Michael Lane and Carl William Morrison; a brother, Robert J. Morrison; brother-in-law, Roger Darnell; and, sister-in-law, Pat Morrison.

Michael attended Clark Co. R-1 School. He was a truck driver for many years, a welder, and the past eight years had been employed by Trump Trucks as a mechanic. He loved to hunt and fish, especially with his special nephew, Jarod Scobee. He was an avid Nascar and drag racing fan. Although he didnt live a long life, he lived a good life. He had an attitude that faced what life handed him and did it well. He loved his family and his friends.

Memorial services wereheld Sunday, August 7, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with Pastor Carol Davenport, Hospice Chaplain, officiating.

Memorials were suggested to the family.
