MICHELLE LYNN OSBON BRAND

Michelle Lynn Osbon Brand, age 36, of Kahoka, MO, died peacefully on Monday, April 9, 2018 in Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL, surrounded by her family.

Michelle Osbon Brand was born November 7, 1981, in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of Ronald G. and Brenda J. Benedict Osbon. Michelle and Christopher Brand were the parents of Shea Donovan Brand and Deacon Miles Brand.

Survivors include her son, Deacon Brand, her mother, Brenda Osbon and grandmother, Lucille Osbon, all of Kahoka; two brothers, Ronald (Jami) Osbon of San Antonio, TX, and Nathan (Angela) Osbon of Fort Madison, IA; ten nieces and nephews; several aunts and uncles, cousins, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father on July 12, 2011, her son, Shea Brand on August 8, 1999, and grandparents William Osbon and William and Sharon McKay Benedict.

Michelle graduated from Clark Co. R-1 High School in 2001. She had been employed at Ayerco and Denny’s and was a CNA at the Clark Co. Nursing Home up until her accident in 2012 which changed her life forever. She was a good worker, enjoyed being around people, and was loved by everyone who met her.

Michelle loved to shop, was meticulous about her appearance and enjoyed being "out and about". She had a good friend in her mom’s dog, Oreo, which she nicknamed "Budders".

Michelle was all about family. She loved all of them and keeping in touch with her nieces and nephews. She had an amazing relationship with her siblings and was teasing back and forth even to the end. She loved her son, Deacon, with all of her heart. She would light up when he entered the room. It was that love that kept her going when going got tough.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with Pastor Chris Lind officiating. Special music was "The Rose", "Sissy's Song", "I Hope You Dance", "Look For Me" and "I Can Only Imagine."

Honorary pallbearers were Gabe Osbon, Landon Gutting, Carson Cormier, Eathaun Brunswig, and Maxwell Brunswig.

Pallbearers were Buddy Osbon, Danelle Smith, Steve Benedict, Matt Gutting, Logan Gutting, and Hunter Yancy.

Burial was in the Kahoka Cemetery.
