MILDRED MARIE BASH

Mildred Marie Bash, a native of Clark County, passed away in Linden, TX, on Monday,May 28, 2007, at the age of 94 years.

She was born July 14, 1912, at Kahoka, MO, the daughter of Jacob Henry and Eva Lovina Boley Blum.

She married Everett Leroy Bash on May 21, 1931, at Lancaster, MO. He preceded her in death on November 12, 1969. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Velma Mae Galland; brother-in-law, Charles Henry Galland; a nephew, Hilbert Henry Galland; and her parents.

She lived 48 years in Kahoka and Ashton (MO) before moving to Keokuk in 1960. Since 1992, she has lived with her daughter in Linden, TX. She was a homemaker and member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Kahoka, MO, and Keokuk, IA, and also of

Royal Neighbors of America.

She is survived by two daughters, Viona Lee Beene of Linden, TX and Marcine Leighty of Quincy, IL; eight grandchildren: Thomas Hicks of Shreveport, LA, Gary Hicks of Blanchard, LA, Michael Hicks of Hallsville, TX, Cindy Veillon of Opelousas, LA, Dan

Leighty of Denver, CO, Dianne Leighty of Quincy, IL, Jesse Beene of Hartford, CT, and Jennifer Breland of Houston, TX; ten great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; a nephew, Wayne Bash, of Kahoka, MO; two nieces, Marlene Burnett of Hiawatha, IA, and Judith Doty of Fort Madison, IA; cousins, Wayne Blum of Kahoka, MO, Laneta Gares of Monroe City, MO, Eloise Vibert of Brevard, NC, Jim Boley of Kansas City, MO, Delbert Boley and Frances Oliver of Arbela, MO; six great nieces and nephews; ten great-great nieces and nephews; and, many friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 2, 2007, at 10 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with Rev. Kenneth Beckmann officiating. Burial will follow in the Kahoka Cemetery.

Friends can call after noon on Friday at Wilson Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or St. Paul United Church of Christ in Kahoka.
