NAOMI F. LANE
Naomi F. Lane, age 76, of Kahoka, MO died Thursday, April 21, 2016 in the Emergency Room at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.
Naomi was born June 5, 1939 in Kirksville, MO, a daughter of Scott and Lenna F.
Watson Jansen.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Vaye Lane of Caseyville, IL, three grandchildren, Scott Lane of Burlington, IA, Eugene Lane of Montrose, IA and Megan Mast of Palmyra; and several great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Michael in 1987 and David in 1993.
Naomi graduated from Granger High School and from Gem City Business College. She was a homemaker most of her life.
She enjoyed watching the hummingbirds outside of her neighbor's apartment, playing cards with her friends at the community center, and doing crafts. She had a collection of mice figurines which were entertainment to all who visited. Naomi had a heart of gold who would give the shirt off of her back. Her outlook on life was always positive and she always had something nice to say about everyone.
Funeral services celebrating her life were held Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with Brother Jack Sumption officiating. Burial followed in the Kahoka Cemetery. Special music included a recorded selection of "The Old Rugged Cross". Pallbearers were: Cliff Sheffler, Caroline Major, Cliff Ketchum, Tabitha Kirchner, Lowell Gordy and Tod Kichner.
Friends called at Wilson Funeral Home after 9 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, with family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m.
A memorial will be established.
